Cailin's first wipeout

Ground is a bit soft after all the rain today. But she picked it up on
her own and rode off.

Cailin's new sport - Gator Wrangling

Cailin missed her shot on the archery course yesterday morning, so decided to take the sucker on bare-handed.

As an aside, she won her age group at the annual Deerslayer Shoot that was happening there yesterday.

Hot sauce

What do you do with pounds of hot peppers from the garden?

That's right- make your own hot sauce. Batch # 1 is shown. I'm
estimating 2-3 more batches. That works out to gallons. Yikes. Maybe
less pepper plants next year.

Becoming a Bowyer

So both of my grandpa's 50+ year old bows simply couldn't hack it and
now lay in pieces. Erin said she'd buy me a new bow when the tile is
done. And I'm close. But I couldn't help but try to make one myself
out of a nice piece of quarter-sawn ash. I messed up the tillering and
ended up with a very light weight bow. But it's still pretty cool. A
single piece of wood--no glue at all. Here's Emma showing good form
and a solid anchor. Even if the bow is twice her height.

Can't Rush This

There's a MC Hammer song in here somewhere....
