So both of my grandpa's 50+ year old bows simply couldn't hack it and
now lay in pieces. Erin said she'd buy me a new bow when the tile is
done. And I'm close. But I couldn't help but try to make one myself
out of a nice piece of quarter-sawn ash. I messed up the tillering and
ended up with a very light weight bow. But it's still pretty cool. A
single piece of wood--no glue at all. Here's Emma showing good form
and a solid anchor. Even if the bow is twice her height.
