Getting the rust out

20 yards, 40+ year old recurve made by my grandpa (no sights, no
release). First time I've tried to seriously shoot it in almost 15
years. Hopefully I can clean it up and get groups like this at 40
yards again.

Not sure what chemicals were put on our lawn before we bought it, but
kids seem to find four leafed clovers here by the bunches. Heck, I
finally found my first one.

The Tree Video

How to fit 120ft trees in a 60' wide yard.

Diagonal helps, but you really need to top 'em first. Butt ends are 30-32" in diameter for some scale, I didn't bring the long bar for the new saw (the 28" short bar just didn't cut it). I'll see how the video came out of topping the trees and try to post soon.

What an exhausting day!

Some serious hail tonight.

Marlee and I waited it out in the car before heading inside. This was
what was left 10 minutes later after a deluge in 87 degree temps. Not
the midwest but still impressive.

The Family That Runs Together...

...gets sweaty.

No pictures to go with it, but we had family run time tonight. 3.5 miles, down the drive, across Henderson Rd, and up through English Hills and back. Cailin and Marlee ran with us, and Emma rode her bike. There was some pushing of Emma up the steepest hills, but she's got the brakes figured out coming down the other side now. I think it was about 37 minutes round trip. The humidity is back after a cold spell over the weekend.

Good times. Official 5k on the 23rd. Cailin is starting to outrun Marlee and Erin now. I'm going to have to work to keep up with her and spank them at the race. (They beat us by 2 minutes I think in the snow last December.)
