Becoming a Bowyer

So both of my grandpa's 50+ year old bows simply couldn't hack it and
now lay in pieces. Erin said she'd buy me a new bow when the tile is
done. And I'm close. But I couldn't help but try to make one myself
out of a nice piece of quarter-sawn ash. I messed up the tillering and
ended up with a very light weight bow. But it's still pretty cool. A
single piece of wood--no glue at all. Here's Emma showing good form
and a solid anchor. Even if the bow is twice her height.

Drew helped the girls plan and build a new development over the
holiday weekend.

Have yarn, will travel.

Marlee and Cailin leave for OR in a few minutes. First time flying by
themselves. They'll come back at the end of August.
